Twitter Tips for new Tweeps:

1- Try not to use symbols in your Twitter username

2- Use a good personal photo of yours (Square in shape)

3- Take your time in writing a good Bio, it is your First impression

4- When looking for Followers, Search within your Email contacts.

Trick: Find some of the popular local Tweeps and follow their followers if they match your interests

5- Content; make sure it is valuable, positive & informative. Don’t be negative, aggressive, pushy.

6- When you get a new follower, check their timeline and if they are to your liking, then follow back (Polite unwritten rule).

7- It is not the quantity of your followers that matters, Follow those who match your interests in terms of hobbies, opinions, locality.

8- Stages of Twitter:

A) Denial

(I don’t see the need for Twitter! I can do the same at Facebook)

B) Presence

When you sign up but never get to check your Timeline

C) Dumping

When you copy paste articles you read online

D) Conversing

When you answer questions from some of your followers and engage in a conversation with them

E) Micro-Blogging

Is the final step and when you start creating your own Tweets as a Blogging sustainable habit

9- Why do people join Twitter:

A) Share updates about their life.

B) Start a conversation.

C) Selling, marketing, Advertising.

D) Find answers, advices & tips.

E) Self Branding.
